ongoing challenges

The consistent attacks to Sumy are having a significant impact on the city’s civilian population. Hospitals, schools, and residential buildings have been damaged or destroyed. Third- and fourth-level impacts, humanitarian access to essential services may be restricted for many. Psychological impacts on the residents are significant, as they live under constant threat of violence and loss of family and friends. Despite the condemnations of the world, attacks on Sumy continue, demonstrating just how difficult it is to negotiate a ceasefire and effectively utilize diplomacy in this context. While attacks on Sumy continue, for the residents of Sumy, the goodwill of the international community, the hope of the residents, and resilience are critical to understand and hopefully address the humanitarian crisis and shape a pathway to peace. click here for the source
