Unprecedented Tornado Outbreak Leaves a Trail of Destruction

The United States saw one of its largest and fiercest tornado events in recent memory from May 15 to 16, 2025. There were almost 60 tornadoes during this timeframe across the central US including severe EF3 and EF4 tornadoes producing catastrophic damage to homes, infrastructure and communities. . Kentucky Bears the Brunt with Rising Death Toll

While several states faced the devastation, Kentucky was hit hardest with 18 confirmed deaths and hundreds of injuries. Local officials announced a state of emergency and called in the National Guard to assist with the disaster relief effort. Schools were closed, emergency shelters were opened, and teams were searching for survivors trapped in the rumble.
