The Incident: A Tragic Turn of Events
Reports from the police indicate that the incident occurred earlier this week in the Malad locality of Mumbai. The couple, who had been married for a few years, reportedly, got into a heated argument that escalated into a more serious confrontation. The man sprayed his wife with some kind of flammables and set her on fire. Neighbors heard her screams, hurriedly ran in to help extinguish the flames, and called for emergency services.

The woman, in her early 30s, was rushed to a local hospital with serious burn injuries. The doctors are stabilizing her condition while the police arrested the accused and registered a case against him under sections of the Indian Penal Code, including attempted murder and domestic violence.
