The 2025 Skoda Octavia RS has made it to the grand selection list for a grand show at Bharat Mobility Expo in January. It will showcase the new Kylaq SUV by Skoda, apart from carrying an amazing performance upgrade and distinct RS styling, which always takes enthusiasts by storm. Just recently, Skoda Auto India’s Brand Director, Petr Janeba, confirmed the return of this celebrated sedan, thus arousing even greater excitement among their loyal fan base in India.
Octavia RS Performance: TSI Power and Efficiency Improved
The new Skoda Octavia RS features a 2.0-liter TSI engine with the Budack combustion cycle, boosting efficiency without sacrificing performance. The promising high performance engine delivers an impressive output of 260 bhp, along with 370 Nm of torque. Paired to a refined 7-step DSG transmission, the thrill of high-performance driving returns to India’s roads through Octavia RS.
There is also the RS version, which comes 15 mm lower than the regular one, giving it a sporty stance and some better handling dynamics. It sits underneath a standard sports exhaust system with black tailpipes, giving it a very unmistakable RS look. The exhaust can also be made to amplify sound for a more aggressive profile in Sport mode, capable of providing thrilling experiences in sound as it would do in speed.

The Bharat Mobility Expo will be the debut platform for the Octavia RS, but it’s still unknown whether Skoda plans to launch it in India soon or this will only be another preview function, as in the case of Enyaq EV’s last show. In any case, Octavia RS remains a favorite in India among all driving enthusiasts, for it has a niche market despite featuring a large fan base due to the marriage of refined engineering and impressive power.

Expected Price and Launch in India
In case Skoda does decide to launch in India, this new Octavia RS would indeed be a CBU with a price range that may lie somewhere between Rs 55-60 lakh (ex-showroom). For a car that claims so much on its performance prowess, the premiumness it boasts off, and cult following of sorts, the price puts it in the bracket of high-performance sedans catering to niche but still very passionate market.
