Lotus has unveiled two stunning cars in India: the all-electric Emeya and the petrol-powered Emira. Both of the vehicles promise high performance, cutting-edge technology, and luxurious design. The car comes in three variants, and both models are available at prices starting from ₹2.34 crore for the Emeya and ₹3.22 crore for the Emira. Lotus has also chosen Exclusive Motors in South Delhi as its exclusive dealership partner and will offer these models at the World Trade Centre showroom.
The Electrifying Lotus Emeya
The Emeya is Lotus’s second electric car in India. It is sporty and has a very sleek, aerodynamic design. A coupe-like roof flows from the B-pillar to the rear, creating a dynamic sportiness. The horizontal headlamps, which are integrated into the front bumper, complement the aggressive stance with its quad DRL setup. It has a horizontally spanning tail lamp running the width of the car at the rear, accentuating its futuristic appeal.

There are six stunning colors through which the buyer could choose: Boreal Grey, Fireglow Orange, Solar Yellow, Akoya White, Stellar Black, and Kaimu Grey. Lotus equips the Emeya with an active aero system as it reaches an extremely low level of 0.21, creating more than 150 kilograms of down force.
Innovations of Emeya
Inside, the Emeya has a minimalist cabin with a floating 15.1-inch OLED display located at the center. An eight-inch digital display with a head-up display complements the driver’s interface. The car comes with a premium KEF sound system and an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) that makes use of 18 radar systems and 10 cameras to make its roads a safer place.
Performance enthusiasts will love the Emeya’s powertrain, with a 102 kWh battery pack and dual electric motors. The top-of-the-line Emeya R produces 905 hp and 985 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 kmph run in just 2.8 seconds. Charging from 10% to 80% takes just 14 minutes with a 400-kW DC charger. The Emeya will have a WLTP range of up to 610 km for the standard variant.

The Versatile Lotus Emira
The Emira is for the petrolheads, with its more compact proportions looking like those on the Elise and Evora. Its well-sculpted bodyline has wide haunches that are complemented by bold lines and big, gaping air intakes. While the ovalshaped headlamp and a lower slanting hood enhance a sporty face, the long, sleek taillamps plus a diffuser complete its more aerodynamic designs at the rear side.

It houses modern technology: a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, matching touchscreen infotainment system. These screens enable smartphone connectivity and advanced car technology for the perfect premium driving experience.
Emira Powertrains
Buyers will be able to pick from two powertrains to power the Emira. A 2.0-liter turbocharged AMG-sourced unit is the first option. Two variants of the same engine will be offered to the customers. The Turbo variant provides 360 bhp and 317 Nm, while the Turbo SE variant has 400 bhp and 354 Nm. It’s available with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic. The second is a Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V6 that generates 400 bhp, matched to either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic.

The Emira Turbo SE accelerates to 0-100 kmph in 4 seconds, while the V6-powered version takes 4.3 seconds to complete the sprint. Such figures only underscore the Emira’s capability as a high-performance sports car.
A New Chapter for Lotus in India

Whether it is the electrifying speed of Emeya or raw power of Emira, Lotus has set a new benchmark for luxury cars in India.
