In an exciting match, the Delhi Capitals defeated the Rajasthan Royals in a Super Over at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Rajasthan was successfully chasing 189 and were 161/2 when Mitchell Starc bowled a blistering final over. He was able to close the nail-biting finish out with three of his accurate yorkers and the match ended in a tie, producing a super over. Starc continued his blazing bowling in the super over, only allowing 11 runs and taking 2 wickets. In response, Delhi chased the target in only 4 balls, again sealing their fifth win in six matches. Delhi now finds themselves first place on the table!
Punjab Kings Defend Lowest Total
Punjab Kings made history by defending the lowest total in IPL ever by defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 16 runs. After being bowled out for 111 runs, Punjab’s bowlers led by Yuzvendra Chahal (4/28) and Marco Jansen (3/17) took apart Kolkata’s line up, bowling them out for 95 runs.
