Thomson has introduced two new models in its TV range in India, namely 50-inch and 55-inch QLED Smart TVs, both of which run JioTele OS. They have been priced at ₹19,999 for the 50-inch model and ₹25,999 for the 55-inch. The timeline for the launches conveniently fits within Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale set to begin on September 23. Thomson sees the greater screens in its new offerings as part of a wider trend towards Indian consumers seeking larger screen and immersive visuals at home, as if they are watching a live show.
Features Worth Noting: Display, OS & Connectivity
The latest TVs feature 4K QLED screens with HDR10+ support which improves color accuracy and contrast for dark and bright images. The JioTele OS operating system provides several features and improvements: AI content recommendations, voice search in 10+ Indian languages, compatibility with over 10 OTT services, and screen mirroring capability. The hardware includes dual-band WiFi, ports (HDMI/USB), a bezel-less display, and alloy stands for a premium output.
