Tragedy in the Skies: Ahmedabad Plane Crash Incident Shocks Natio

A light passenger aircraft crash occurred outside of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, on June 11, 2025. The private chartered Beechcraft King Air C90 reportedly lost control minutes after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The crash took place in the Gota region, a semi-residential and semi-industrial area, and immediately sent local residents into a panic. Early reports suggest that there were 6 on board, including the pilot and co-pilot. Witnesses stated that they saw the plane flying erratically before a loud explosion followed by the crash.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) initiated an investigation of the crash to determine a cause. Mechanical failure is suspected but account for weather and pilot response.

Rescue Operation and Emergency Response

Local police, fire departments, and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) members arrived on scene within a few minutes of the crash. The wreckage was fully engulfed in flames, and heavy black smoke rose into the sky. Firefighters quickly began to drop water on the wreckage and were pulling out survivors from the twisted wreckage.
Sadly, they confirmed 4 dead on the spot while 2 others were rushed to a local hospital with very serious injuries. Residents of the village also helped first responders find their way down the narrow roads and render basic assistance. The Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupendra Patel, expressed his sorrow, but also indicated that the state would provide full support to effects families.
