Toyota Hilux Black Edition at ₹37.90 Lakh

Toyota Hilux Black Edition

Toyota has formally introduced the Hilux Black Edition in India at ₹37.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The automaker initially unveiled this limited edition at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The pickup truck now boasts an all-black aesthetic while maintaining its punchy performance. To everyone’s surprise, Toyota has priced the Black Edition on par with the highest-spec standard Hilux High AT trim.

Impressive All-Black Exterior Design

Toyota has provided the Hilux Black Edition with a bold and aggressive appearance with a completely blacked-out exterior. The front radiator grille, bonnet line, and ORVM covers are finished in glossy black. The 18-inch black alloy wheels with personalized hubcaps also add to the aggressive stance. Toyota has also blacked out the door handles, fender garnish, and fuel lid garnish. A black-finished skid plate also contributes to the off-road appeal of the truck.

Keeping Signature LED Light Features

The Black Edition Hilux still maintains the swept-back LED headlights and LED rear combination lamps. The lighting features ensure maximum visibility and a premium as well as modern look. Despite the color variation, Toyota has kept the signature design features of the Hilux intact.

Premium All-Black Interior with Advanced Features

Inside, the Hilux Black Edition features an all-black cabin, matching the aggressive exterior. The layout remains identical to the standard Hilux, offering a premium and functional design. Toyota has packed the interior with modern features, including an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This system supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The passengers have the option of an audio-oriented six-speaker setup. Leatherette upholstery, dual-zone climate control, and cruise control are also available in the truck. Drive modes enable drivers to change the performance levels according to the road conditions.

Advanced Safety and Off-Road Capabilities

Toyota has endowed the Hilux Black Edition with first-class safety features. The pickup truck features seven airbags to provide maximum protection to all passengers. Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TC) provide improved road grip and stability.

The model is also equipped with Electronic Differential Lock (EDL) and Automatic Limited Slip Differential (ALSD). These enhance traction on difficult terrain. Hill Assist Control (HAC) and Downhill Assist Control (DAC) also enhance driving off-road safety and control.

Powertrain and Performance

The Hilux Black Edition still uses the same 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbo-diesel powerplant. Toyota has mated the engine with an automatic transmission because the special edition model is underpinned by the High AT variant. The engine and transmission combo gives good performance, which makes the Hilux a good choice for urban roads and off-road excursions.

Pricing and Availability

Toyota has launched the Hilux Black Edition at ₹37.90 lakh (ex-showroom), which is in sync with the regular High AT variant. The entry-level model of the Hilux range begins at ₹30.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The Black Edition bookings are now open at all Toyota-authorized dealerships in India. The company has planned deliveries to start in March 2025.

A Stylish Upgrade Without a Price Hike

Toyota has launched the Hilux Black Edition without a price hike over the standard top-spec model. The decision makes the special edition a desirable option for customers seeking a more stylish and tough pickup truck. With its strong engine, high-end features, and sophisticated safety features, the Hilux Black Edition is a standout in its class.
