Eleven no longer depends solely on her powers to fight Vecna; now she relies on love, friendship, and self-belief.

Throughout the final battle, fans will enjoy visual excitement and many references to earlier events in the series. In addition, the Duffer Brothers show great craftiness in incorporating numerous nostalgic elements into the action, thereby emphasizing the progression of the overall story from Will Byers’ initial disappearance in Season One until now.

The bittersweet ending balances nostalgia for the past while acknowledging that growing up means moving on.
