On Monday, India and the UAE signed agreements for long-term arrangements for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG), and for civil nuclear energy activities, as the two countries sought to broaden the horizons of cooperation between them especially in the spheres of Artificial Intelligence and Critical Minerals, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan were for the reasons of reconciliation.

The two sides also agreed to MOUs on the subject matter of the greater involvement of the UAE in the strategic petroleum reserves of India, bringing crude oil from Abu Dhabi Onshore Block 1 in Indian markets for a state-run Indian firm and for the construction of food parks by Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company in Gujarat.

ISPRL has achieved a storage capacity of 5.33 million metric tonnes of crude oil in underground rock caverns located at three sites including one of 1.5 million metric tonnes capacity in Mangalore.
The production concession agreement for Abu Dhabi Onshore Block 1 between the two entities, i.e. ADNOC and Urja Bharat, a joint venture of IOCL with Bharat Petro Resources Ltd., is India’s first agreement of this kind in the country where such an entity out of India is involved in operating within the UAE. This concession allows crude oil to India through Urja Bharat, and that improves the energy security of the nation.

The Gujarat government has signed an MoUs with the Abu Dhabi developmental holding company, ADQ, which proposes the construction of food and agriculture park at Gundanpara in the Ahmedabad district by the second quarter of twenty twenty five.
