iPhone SE 4 design leaks online before its launch.

iPhone SE 4

Apple’s future iPhone SE 4 has just surfaced online through a case listing leak. Spigen accidentally inadvertently put up a cover listing that shares images of the next-generation iPhone SE. From the renders, it is believed the product design will be close to that of the iPhone 14 with a notched display, an Action Button, and a solitary rear camera. Apple will officially release the iPhone SE 4 this week, which is one of its biggest upgrades in history.

Leaked Design Details

The leaked Spigen case images give a clear view of the design of the iPhone SE 4. The front has a notched display, unlike the older model with thick bezels and a Touch ID home button. The side profile is the same as the iPhone 14, with the same placement of power and volume buttons.

The left side has an Action Button, similar to the one first seen on iPhone 15 Pro. This eliminates the traditional mute switch seen in older models, but a dedicated camera button – rumored for some future iPhone – is not provided.

The back of the iPhone SE 4 features a single rear camera, just like the previous iPhone SE (2022). There is no change in the camera placement and design as Apple tends to keep a minimalist rear panel on the SE lineup.

iPhone SE 4

Apple will likely install some key hardware upgrades for the iPhone SE 4. There have been claims that this smartphone will arrive with the new A18 processor, the same as in the next generation series, the iPhone 16 series. The performance and efficiency this would deliver compared to the A15 Bionic in the iPhone SE (2022) will be significantly different.

The new iPhone SE might also feature 8GB of RAM, allowing for smoother multitasking and improved responsiveness. Apple Intelligence, the company’s AI-driven features, might also be launched on the device.

Display and Battery Upgrades

The most significant change will be the display. Apple is expected to replace the 4.7-inch LCD panel from the iPhone SE (2022) with a larger 6.1-inch OLED screen. This upgrade will deliver better contrast, richer colors, and improved battery efficiency.

With the larger screen, Apple is also likely to increase the battery capacity. While exact details remain unknown, the phone may feature a battery similar to the one in the iPhone 14, offering longer battery life compared to its predecessor.

Switch to USB Type-C

Apple will conform to European Union requirements of every new smartphone needing to feature a USB Type-C charging port. The iPhone SE 4 will reportedly exclude the lightning adapter in favor of a USB Type-C port; this will mean that it will match the latest iPhone 15 series from Apple, resulting in the ability to use faster speeds and compatibility with universal chargers as well as accessory devices.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported just recently that Apple will unveil the iPhone SE 4 this week. If true, the listing of the Spigen case could be the best look at the device ahead of its launch.

No word has been said about the pricing or availability from Apple, but iPhone SE series has always targeted budget consumers. If Apple maintains its historical pricing trends, iPhone SE 4 could start at an aggressive price with modern hardware and designs.

Final Thoughts

Judging by the appearance, the iPhone SE 4 seems to be a serious upgrade, finally bringing a modern design, the OLED display, the A18 chip, and an Action Button. Switching to Face ID and USB Type-C also makes the SE line more aligned with Apple’s flagships. So, in the near future, the company may unfurl all the details of its latest affordable iPhone.
