Hyundai has announced its newest electric flagship, the Ioniq 9, a three-row SUV that utilizes the E-GMP platform. According to reports, this car is going to be at the very top in the Ioniq series, where emphasis is placed on versatility, efficiency, and advanced technology. This much-awaited electric vehicle will definitely provide an ideal balance between comfort, performance, and sustainability.
Slated for release in Korea and the United States in the first half of next year, the Ioniq 9 will also arrive in Europe and other global markets. Sharing its platform with models like the Ioniq 5, Ioniq 6, and Kia EV9, it inherits the proven engineering of Hyundai’s electric lineup while adding unique features and capabilities.
Performance and Powertrain Configurations
The Ioniq 9 can be paired with a big 110.3 kWh battery pack and various drivetrain configurations that are suited for your needs: long range rear-wheel drive; single motor, 215 bhp, 350 Nm; dual-motor AWD, with 93 bhp from the front motor and 215 bhp from the rear motor.
Performance AWD Outputs 215 bhp from both motors, with 350 Nm of torque from each motor.

Both setups are available to give buyers the option for either enhanced range or additional power. The top trim, fitted with 19-inch wheels, offers a WLTP-certified 620 km, making it useful for long-distance applications without needing to charge up too much along the way.
Hyundai calls the Ioniq 9’s styling “aerosthetic,” balancing aerodynamic efficiency and aesthetics. The parameters of its pixel LED headlights and taillights beautifully merge with a pumped-up, lower air dam and an expansive wheelbase of 3,130 mm.
With a length of 5,060 mm, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,790 mm in height, the Ioniq 9 is longer and wider than its sibling, the Kia EV9. Its dimensions are large enough to provide commanding road presence with less sacrifice to interior space.
Comfort and Advanced Features Inside
Inside, the Ioniq 9 redefines comfort and convenience for family SUVs, available in two layouts: six- and seven-seat. It features plenty of space throughout the three rows. Great touches include:

- Reclining, rotating second-row seats: So passengers can swivel to face the third row, to increase interaction during standing moments.
- Massage functions: Available in the front and second rows – another luxury touch.
- Generous Space: With 1,899 mm of headroom and 2,050 mm of legroom, passengers enjoy unmatched comfort.
The interior showcases a curved panoramic display integrating a 12-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch infotainment screen. An eight-speaker audio system, augmented by Hyundai’s e-Active Sound Design (e-ASD), creates a unique acoustic environment tailored for EVs.

The Ioniq 9 also comes with a four-spoke steering wheel, just like the Santa Fe’s design, along with the futuristic designs for the dashboard. The intuitive infotainment system and integration of ADAS ensure this ride is both safe and seamless.
Customization and Colors
Hyunduy is making available very wide customization options for the Ioniq 9, so that the buyer can communicate their personality. A total of 16 shades are available on the outside, which even includes some unique colors such as Celadon Grey Matte, Ionosphere Green Pearl, and Sunset Brown Pearl.

With the new Ioniq 9, Hyundai is all set to redefine the three-row SUV space. The range, power, and luxury handed over from this car reflect a strong contender in the rising electric vehicle market. But with swiveling seats, massage functions, and safety features out of a documentary from the sci-fi movie industry, this is for modern families seeking style, comfort, and sustainability.
Through Ioniq 9, Hyundai has definitely cemented its place in electric innovation while meeting the imperative of practicality and performance. A three-row EV, this flagship SUV sets a new benchmark for what’s about to come.
