HMD introduced the Amped Buds ahead of MWC 2025 in Barcelona. These truly wireless stereo (TWS) earphones offer up to 95 hours of total playback with the charging case. The case also doubles as a wireless power bank, allowing users to charge compatible smartphones. Alongside the Amped Buds, HMD launched new smartphones focused on teen safety and FC Barcelona-themed handsets.

Price and Availability

HMD has set the Amped Buds price at EUR 199 (approximately ₹18,100). The company plans to launch these wireless earbuds in select markets starting in April. The available color options include Black, Cyan, and Pink. HMD has not confirmed whether it will introduce the Amped Buds in India.

Advanced Design and Build Quality

The Amped Buds feature an in-ear design with silicone ear tips and a stem. Each earbud includes a hinge that ensures a secure and comfortable fit. The earbuds come with an IP54 rating, providing dust and splash resistance, while the charging case holds an IPX4 rating.

Powerful Audio Performance

HMD equipped the Amped Buds with 10mm drivers for a balanced sound experience. Each earbud includes three microphones, supporting both active noise cancellation (ANC) and environmental noise cancellation (ENC). These features allow users to enjoy clear calls and immersive audio.

The Amped Buds support Google Fast Pair for seamless device connections. Users can also connect the earbuds to two devices simultaneously, making it easier to switch between smartphones, tablets, or laptops.

Impressive Battery Life and Charging Options

It to offer up to 8 hours of battery life with ANC off. When ANC is enabled, battery life reduces to 4 hours. The charging case extends total playback time to 95 hours.

The case includes a 1,600mAh battery, which can be charged via a USB Type-C port. It also supports Qi2 wireless charging, allowing users to charge smartphones like the HMD Skyline or iPhone 16 Pro. The case provides a 13.8% wireless charge and a 20.7% wired charge for the Skyline, while it charges the iPhone 16 Pro up to 20% wirelessly and 24% via a wired connection.

HMD Expands Its Audio Portfolio

With the launch of the Amped Buds, HMD continues to expand its lineup of wireless audio products. The combination of ANC, Google Fast Pair, and Qi2 wireless charging makes these earbuds a competitive choice in the premium TWS segment.
