BMW has announced that the highly anticipated Skytop V8 Roadster will go into limited production.BMW will produce only 50 units, and despite initial doubts about its production prospects, all of them are already reserved. Marking a successful transition from concept to reality.
High-Performance V8 Powertrain
At the core of the BMW Skytop Roadster lies a powerful 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 engine, directly sourced from the M8. This engine delivers an impressive 617 bhp. Enabling the sleek roadster to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Paired with an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission. BMW’s xDrive intelligent all-wheel-drive system equips the Skytop, effectively distributing power to all four wheels for optimal performance.
Inspired Design with a Modern Touch
The exterior design of the Skytop Roadster draws inspiration from BMW’s iconic roadsters, such as the BMW 507 and Z8. Its sharp, angular front end is complemented by slim LED headlights. While bold creases run along the sides to emphasize its dynamic stance. In a nod to modern design, the car lacks traditional door handles, opting instead for sleek winglets that maintain a smooth, uninterrupted profile.
The Skytop is finished in a unique “Floating Sundown Silver” paint. By featuring a hand-applied chrome shadow effect that harmonizes with the reddish-brown tone of the roof. The roadster’s two manually removable roof panels, wrapped in synthetic leather.You can store it in a dedicated compartment in the boot when not in use.
