Kawasaki Versys 1100 India Launch at ₹12.90 Lakh

Kawasaki Versys 1100

Kawasaki has introduced the Versys 1100 in India with a price tag of ₹12.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike replaces the Versys 1000 with a bigger engine and more performance. The adventure tourer gets an updated design but adds significant mechanical and feature improvements. Deliveries will commence in late February 2025.

Single Model with a Two-Tone Finish

Kawasaki produces the Versys 1100 in a single model and a single exclusive color combination: Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray / Metallic Diablo Black. This single-model strategy makes it easier for customers to choose while still providing a high-end look.

More Powerful 1099cc Engine

The biggest update is in the engine. Kawasaki has swapped out the old 1043cc motor with a new 1099cc inline-four engine. It makes 133 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 112 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. The new engine gives increased torque throughout the rev range and better rideability and fuel economy.

Kawasaki has also updated the six-speed transmission, lengthening the fifth and sixth gears for improved highway fuel efficiency. Buyers can also have a Kawasaki Quick Shifter installed for smoother gear shifting.

Suspension and Braking Setup

The Versys 1100 still employs a sturdy suspension setup like the outgoing Versys 1000. At the front, it carries a 43mm USD fork with preload adjustability. Out back, there’s a gas-charged monoshock providing preload and rebound adjustability.

Braking responsibilities are borne by a twin 310mm disc configuration of four-piston calipers upfront, and in the rear there is a single-piston 250mm disc. This design provides confident stopping, particularly while touring for hours.

Stuffed with Innovative Features

The Versys 1100 receives several rider assistance features from Kawasaki to make life easier and more secure. The motorcycle features:

  • Several modes of riding
  • Kawasaki Intelligent ABS
  • Selectable traction control
  • Cornering management function
  • Power modes

For added convenience, the Versys 1100 comes with a USB Type-C charging port and an adjustable windshield that does not require tools for modification. Riders can further enhance their bike with Kawasaki’s official accessory range.

A Premium Tourer with Enhanced Touring Capabilities

With its strong engine, feature-laden package, and sophisticated touring ability, the Kawasaki Versys 1100 is a worthy replacement for the Versys 1000. It appeals to long-distance riders who want a combination of performance, comfort, and technology. Deliveries start later this month, and it is a strong player in the premium adventure-touring category.
