TVS has rolled out the 2025 Ronin in India with an updated neo-retro scrambler featuring new color options and enhanced safety features. At ₹1.35 lakh (ex-showroom), the new model adds dual-channel ABS to the mid-spec DS variant, which is priced at ₹1.59 lakh (ex-showroom) now. This addition ensures better braking and moves the mid-range variant closer to the flagship TD model.
New Color Options for a Fresh Look
TVS has updated the Ronin’s design by adding two new colors—Glacier Silver and Charcoal Ember. The new colors take the place of the previous Delta Blue and Stargaze Black, providing the motorcycle with a fresh, modern, and bold look. Yet, the design itself hasn’t changed, with its neo-retro design remaining intact with its sculpted fuel tank, round LED headlamp, and minimal bodywork.
Improved Safety with Dual-Channel ABS
The biggest update in the 2025 Ronin is in the form of dual-channel ABS for the mid-spec DS variant. Earlier, only the top-spec Ronin TD had this feature, with the base and DS variants featuring single-channel ABS. By offering this safety feature at a lower price point, TVS has made the bike more attractive to riders who value improved braking performance.
Aside from the addition of dual-channel ABS, there is little difference between the DS and TD variants. The TD model still includes adjustable brake and clutch levers, as well as connected features through the SmartXonnect system.
Retained Mechanical Excellence
TVS has retained the Ronin’s mechanical configuration intact. The bike continues to be powered by a 225.9cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that delivers 20.12 bhp at 7,750 rpm and 19.93 Nm of maximum torque at 3,750 rpm. This tuned powertrain comes mated to a five-speed transmission with a slip-and-assist clutch for easier shifting and lower clutch effort.

The Ronin’s suspension, brakes, and chassis are identical. It still uses a 41mm USD front fork and a monoshock at the back, providing a balance between comfort and responsiveness. The bike also has 17-inch alloy wheels with dual-purpose tires, which can be used on urban roads and light off-road tracks.
Features That Improve the Riding Experience
The TVS Ronin maintains its impressive feature list. Riders still get a round LCD instrument cluster that provides essential ride data, including a gear position indicator, trip meter, and fuel economy details. The motorcycle also retains its all-LED lighting setup, including the headlamp, taillight, and indicators, enhancing visibility and road presence.
Whereas the base and DS variants don’t have connected features, the range-topping TD variant still has SmartXonnect that allows Bluetooth connectivity for call and message notifications, turn-by-turn directions, and ride analytics.
Pricing and Variants
- Base Variant (₹1.35 lakh) – Single-channel ABS, standard features.
- DS Variant (₹1.59 lakh) – Now equipped with dual-channel ABS for better braking stability.
- TD Variant (₹1.72 lakh) – Adds adjustable levers, connected features, and premium design elements.
Competitors in the Market
However the TVS Ronin competes with other neo-retro and scrambler-style motorcycles available in India. Its competitors are the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, Honda CB350 RS, and Jawa 42. Although the Hunter 350 provides a bigger displacement and vintage charm, the Ronin differentiates itself with its advanced technology, light chassis, and smooth engine.
Final Thoughts
The 2025 TVS Ronin introduces subtle but significant improvements, both in terms of safety and style. Additionally adding dual-channel ABS to the DS variant, TVS has enhanced the motorcycle’s appeal to riders looking for improved control and braking performance. However with fresh colors and the same mechanical package, the Ronin remains a strong player in the expanding neo-retro market in India.
