Toyota is going to launch the ninth generation of Camry in India on 11 December as its first major update in over five years. The revised version builds on the current model’s platform, combining new-age styling, numerous features, and advanced hybrid technology.
Striking Design Upgrades
More aggressive and dynamic than the outgoing model, the new Camry now sports a whole new design. The front fascia incorporates C-shaped DRLs, with a black horizontal element stretching across the vehicle’s width. Designers integrated a honeycomb-patterned grille, painted in body color, to ensure a smooth finish.

Although the silhouette is quite similar, the slight modification of a sloping roofline with a bigger rear quarter glass refines its profile. Redesigned tail lamps and a sharper bumper complete the premium look at the back.
Dimensions and Build
There is a slight variation in the dimensions with the previous model: Length: 4,915 mm (up from 4,885 mm)
- Width: 1,839 mm (from 1,840 mm) –
Height: 1,445 mm (decreased from 1,455 mm) –
Wheelbase: 2,825 mm (remains the same) –
All these measurements provide a perfect compromise between beauty and functionality, as it gives a strong road presence in the car but still offers space for the interior.
The interiors of the 2025 Camry have been revamped, targeting technology and comfort. The focus area is this 12.3-inch infotainment screen, which has taken the prime position in the dashboard right above the air-conditioner vents. Fully digital instrument clusters, where available in top-shelf trims, add to the futuristic appeal of the cabin.

Toyota has also provided the global-spec Camry with luxurious features like ventilated seats, nine-speaker audio system with JBL, and 360 degrees camera. Toyota advanced safety technology with Sense 3.0, offering the driver an enhanced and secure driving experience.

Strong-Hybrid Powertrain
Toyota is still chomping at the bit for sustainability as the 2025 Camry retains the hybrid configuration. The car brings in a 2.5-liter engine and an electric motor to put out 222 bhp, 8 more than before the redesign.

Now if the dual-motor configuration stayed only on the global market then the hybrid variant of the India-specific model would perfectly measure between performance and efficiency. However this would put the Camry as a confluence of being eco-friendly yet a force to be reckoned with for premium sedan buyers.

Competitors and Market Position
The new Camry will aim at competitors like the Skoda Superb, which also has a generational change on the cards for 2025. Toyota is hoping to revive the sedan market that has seen pressure from growing demand for SUVs. The new Camry promises a cutting-edge, refined design, and the hybrid powertrain should attract those in search of a premium, eco-conscious option.
Moving on, 2025 Toyota Camry is the luxury and innovation sedan. It updates itself comprehensively, giving a package that fuses aesthetics, sophisticatedness, and sustainability at the same time, making it strong contenders for future premier car buyers in India. The eagerly awaited fans will witness the launch date on December 11 and sets a new benchmark for hybrid sedans.
