BMW Motorrad has introduced the 2025 model of its high-end maxi-scooter, the C 400 GT, in India. The new model is priced at ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is ₹25,000 higher than the previous one. Even with the price increase, BMW still sells the scooter as a completely built-up unit (CBU).

Design Updates and Improved Comfort

BMW has continued with the general design of the C 400 GT but has made some discreet improvements. It now comes equipped with a fresh windscreen offering improved protection for riders from wind. Furthermore, the seat has been lowered by 10mm, and this has dropped its height from 775mm to 765mm. This reduction makes the scooter more user-friendly, particularly to shorter riders.

Exclusive Variant with Premium Additions

BMW launched a new Exclusive version that enhances the styling and features of the scooter. This limited edition gets golden alloy wheels, sleek brake calipers, and distinctive graphics. The seat now boasts an embroidered logo, giving it a high-end look. A light-tinted windscreen and stainless-steel floorboard inserts also enhance the styling of the scooter. Floor lighting with logo projection has been added by BMW, making the scooter look a real showstopper. But these high-end features are available as add-ons at extra cost. ### Powerful and Refined Engine Performance

The C 400 GT has its 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. The engine churns out 33.5 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 35 Nm of torque at 5,750 rpm. The engine provides smooth acceleration and refined performance, making it suitable for city rides as well as highway cruising. The scooter has a 12.8-litre fuel tank and a weight of 214 kg (kerb).

Suspension and Wheel Setup

BMW has also fitted the C 400 GT with a well-balanced suspension system. Up front, it uses a telescopic fork, and at the rear, it uses preload-adjustable dual springs. This arrangement provides stability and comfort on various road conditions. The scooter is supported by a 15-inch front and a 14-inch rear wheel that offers great grip and handling.

Advanced Technology and Safety Features

BMW has equipped the 2025 C 400 GT with advanced safety features. The scooter features lean-sensitive ABS Pro, which enhances cornering braking stability. Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) provides increased stopping power, while Dynamic Traction Control (DTC) provides improved grip on slippery roads. Engine Drag Torque Control (MSR) stops rear-wheel slippage when downshifting aggressively.

Larger TFT Screen and Expanded Storage

A new 10.25-inch TFT screen now enhances the scooter’s cockpit, offering improved visibility and functionality. The system includes Bluetooth connectivity, allowing riders to pair their smartphones for navigation and media control. Additionally, BMW has introduced a USB-C charging port for added convenience.

Storage capacity is also enhanced in the 2025 model. The front compartment can now hold 4.5 litres, while the under-seat storage holds 37.6 litres. This improvement renders the C 400 GT even more convenient for commuting on a daily basis as well as extended touring.

Color Options and Availability

BMW retails the 2025 C 400 GT in two dramatic color schemes: Black Storm and Diamond White Metallic. Yet, the Diamond White Metallic color is still reserved for the premium model.

A Price Increase for Premium Upgrades

BMW has launched the 2025 C 400 GT at ₹11.50 lakh (ex-showroom), a ₹25,000 premium over the outgoing model. Even at the higher price, the scooter comes with enhanced comfort, state-of-the-art technology, and upscale styling. The updates make the C 400 GT a more attractive option for riders seeking a high-performance and feature-rich maxi-scooter.
