RCB won in an exciting final at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, against Punjab Kings (PBKS). The RCB’s first IPL title is a fantastic achievement for the franchise and its supporters.

In his first year as captain, Rajat Patidar took RCB to a new level. They were consistent and strong as a team under Patidar’s captaincy, something that had not occurred over the previous seasons. Patidar has gone from doubting himself to captaining RCB to their first IPL title which is truly amazing.

The finale was a thrilling clash. RCB batted first, and put 190/9 on the board, with Virat Kohli scoring a crucial 43 runs. PBKS faced an excellent bowling attack in response. Despite a committed effort from PBKS, it was not enough to get the victory and the eventual win went to them

RCB’s supporters, who are known for their tenth-man streak – respectively, celebrated and cherished the journey itself.
