Maruti Suzuki improved the safety of the Brezza by equipping six airbags as a standard on all variants. This feature, once available only on the ZXi+ variant, provides enhanced safety against any hazards for all the occupants. The subcompact SUV further features three-point seatbelts for all the passengers, improving safety provisions. These changes are in line with the increasing need for enhanced safety features on vehicles.
Price Increase Across Variants
Maruti Suzuki has also hiked the Brezza prices by as much as ₹20,000 from February 1, 2025. The new prices range between ₹8.54 lakh and ₹14.14 lakh (ex-showroom). The price hike is an indication of the inclusion of comfort and safety features. Despite the price hike, customers will continue to receive the same trustworthy performance from the SUV.
Comfort Features Now Standard
Aside from the safety updates, the Brezza also comes with some convenience features as a standard offering. The SUV features a 60:40 split-folding rear seat, which provides improved cargo convenience. Rear headrests with adjustable height provide greater passenger comfort on long drives. Height-adjustable front seatbelts have also been added by Maruti to provide drivers and front occupants a tailored fit.

Besides, the rear center armrest is now fitted with built-in cup holders, offering additional convenience. Earlier, these were accessible only in higher trim models. With such enhancements, the Brezza offers more value to customers without sacrificing comfort.
No Changes in Engine and Transmission Options
Even with the increased safety and comfort features, Maruti Suzuki has not touched the Brezza’s mechanicals. The SUV retains the reliable K15 petrol engine, which comes with a five-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. The automatic model also features mild-hybrid technology, enhancing fuel efficiency.
Maruti provides a factory-installed CNG variant for all but the top-of-the-line ZXi+ model. This provides customers with various powertrain options to suit their requirements. The Brezza continues to be a pragmatic choice for customers seeking fuel efficiency and dependability.
Competitive Position in the Market
With these changes, the Brezza consolidates its position in the highly competitive subcompact SUV segment. It goes up against cars such as the Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Venue, and Kia Syros. With improved safety and comfort features, Maruti Suzuki hopes to get more buyers in this segment.
The SUV already has a great reputation for its affordability, dependability, and fuel economy. Now, with six airbags and other comfort features as a standard, the Brezza becomes an even better option.
