Captain America released on 14th feb 2025 was a highly anticipated movie and an addition to MCU has recieved Mixed reviews from all its fans.
Plot Overview
Herein, Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) becomes the new Captain America, after Steve Rogers. It is a story of a newly elected President Thaddeus ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross (Harrison Ford) who appears, to everyone’s astonishment, to take command when a Celestial appears from the surface of Earth. Scientists develop Adamantium, a metal, and Ross is working with world governments to extract it. And Captain America has to navigate his differences with the new Falcon, Danny Ramirez, as well as Ross to avoid disaster.
Critical Reception
However, the critics have voiced their apprehensions about the film being made. Hindustan Times’ Abhimanyu Mathur gives the movie the moniker of “boring, unmemorable” film that lacks “the zip, the pinch of garlic, and the emotion” despite ‘spectacular action’ and ‘big mean villains.’ \
With a critics score of 52% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film is the third lowest rated MCU film, joining Thor (2011) as well.
