Samsung is about to unveil the Galaxy A36 5G as a replacement for the Galaxy A35 5G. Before the former’s formal unveiling, the device has leaked onto Samsung’s UAE support page. Reports suggest that the Global Certification Forum (GCF) website has also listed the phone.The site confirms the phone’s existence but indicates its soon-to-be official release.
Galaxy A36 5G Leaked on Samsung’s Support Page
Samsung has silently included the Galaxy A36 5G to its support page on the UAE website. The listing confirms the model number SM-A366B/DS, suggesting that the smartphone will have dual SIM functionality, but the webpage does not confirm other specifications and design.
Meanwhile, there are reports that the Galaxy A36 5G has appeared on the Global Certification Forum (GCF) website, which further fuels rumors of its imminent release. The certification listed the model numbers SM-A366B/DS and SM-A366B, and the “B” suffix likely indicates the global version of the device.
Galaxy A36 5G: Rumored Specifications and Features
The Galaxy A36 5G will build on the features of the Galaxy A35 5G. A listing on Geekbench had previously tipped the device as coming with an octa-core processor, 6GB of RAM, and Android 15. The Adreno 610 GPU would further confirm the Snapdragon chipset.
Reports indicate that the smartphone will have either the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 SoC or the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset. Samsung may also bring 45W fast charging support, a significant improvement over the 25W charging on the Galaxy A35 5G.
Launched last year, the Galaxy A35 5G came packed with solid hardware, including a 6.6-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display that boasted a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5nm Exynos 1380 processor. It came equipped with 8GB of RAM, a 50MP triple-camera setup, and a 13MP selfie camera. The phone also featured a 5,000mAh battery that supported 25W fast charging.
