Bajaj Auto Changes Gear: Bajaj Auto Ltd., one of the leading two-wheeler makers in India, has phased out three models: Pulsar F250, CT125X, and Platina 110 ABS. This is on account of the model’s lacklustre sales and changing market dynamics, and in line with the company’s commitment to matching its portfolio to customer preferences.
Bajaj Pulsar F250: A Successor That Failed to Impress
The Pulsar F250 was launched at the end of 2021 as the successor to the Pulsar 220F. By which is a nameplate with immense goodwill in the Indian motorcycle market. It is a half-faired model and shares the same platform as the naked N250. This modern design, coupled with more features, was unable to draw enough attention from the market.

The F250, launched at ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), was a sporty commuter bike for those looking for such a vehicle. However, it was not very appealing with changing consumer preferences to naked street bikes. The long-term success of its predecessor, the Pulsar 220F, available at ₹1.39 lakh (ex-showroom), didn’t help it much either.
Bajaj CT125X: Affordability Meets Rugged Design
The CT125X was launched in 2022 as one of the most affordable 125cc commuter motorcycles in India. Launched at ₹71,354 (ex-showroom), it appealed to budget-conscious buyers looking for a reliable and rugged two-wheeler.
Above the CT110X, it sits the CT125X which features a sturdily constructed with both drum and disc brake types. Although not well received to what was hoped, Bajaj still made way for the cancellation of this line. Here are some photos, specifications, and reviews that make up our gallery for Bajaj Platina 110 ABS below.
The Platina 110 ABS stood out as the first and only offering in the 100–115cc segment equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS). Launched in 2022 at ₹72,224 (ex-showroom), the model prioritized safety while maintaining affordability.

While the drum brake variant of the Platina 110 continues to be available, the ABS version saw limited demand. This underlines a gap between advanced safety features and consumer adoption in the entry-level segment.
Strategic Focus: Bajaj’s Shift Toward New Offerings
Bajaj’s decision to phase out these models underscores a strategic shift in its two-wheeler portfolio. The company plans to focus on newer and more promising models to cater to evolving consumer demands.
One such initiative involves the launch of an updated RS 200 model. Teased on Bajaj’s social media handles, this sporty motorcycle is expected to feature design updates and enhanced performance.
What This Means for Bajaj’s Market Position
The Pulsar F250, CT125X, and Platina 110 ABS models that are discontinued point out Bajaj’s adaptability in terms of the changes happening in the market. Even though these failed to impress buyers, they were attempts by the company to innovate and try out something new.
By focusing on high-demand segments and by bringing newer models, Bajaj would try to maintain its competitive edge in the Indian two-wheeler market. The RS 200 update that is expected in the near future would help it stay in place and give this bike a younger, performance-oriented audience.
Here the discontinuation of three under-performing models can be seen a redefinition process with Bajaj Auto, wherein the company moves forward to new launches while in the process meets the changing trends of consumers at the same time consolidating legacy in the Indian market.
