Ultraviolette F99: Redefining speed and performance

Ultraviolette F99

Ultraviolette Automotive broke barriers with its F99 prototype and set a new quarter-mile record. A Bengaluru-based startup has recorded a stunning 10.712 seconds, which is certified by the FMSCI. This achievement makes the F99 a first in Indian motorcycling history. Ultraviolette is looking to break that record and set a record-breaking top speed in the near future.

High-Octane Performance Redefined High-performance figures are delivered by the F99, on par with international racing motorcycles. The prototype has 121 bhp (90 kW) of power, accelerating it from 0 to 100 kmph in less than three seconds. Moreover, it accelerates to 200 kmph in less than ten seconds, making it one of the fastest acceleration electric motorcycles in the world.

Its performance is largely due to its 400-volt architecture and liquid-cooled drivetrain. The setup ensures effective power delivery and thermal efficiency even in extreme conditions. This sort of advanced engineering heralds a new design breakthrough for Indian motorcycle manufacturing.

The Fastest Ever Made-in-India motorcycle Breaks All Records

Ultraviolette focused largely on achieving reduced weight with structural integrity. F99 features a carbon fiber exoskeleton and an extremely light battery pack with the total weight being around 180 kg. Thus, the lightweight construction brings more agility and acceleration-the prime requirement for racing success.

It has all the racing aesthetics with clean lines and aerodynamic contours because the design itself tends to strip speed as well as enhance the aesthetic appeal of the bike. That’s a new benchmark in Indian innovation.

This, according to co-founder and CEO of Ultraviolette Narayan Subramaniam, is significant. According to him, the F99 defies the thinking about Indian engineering and design capabilities. When it races with the best in the world, it establishes India’s promise as a global hub for high-performance vehicles.

It also marks a significant shift in the narrative, proving that Indian manufacturers can create world-class vehicles. According to Subramaniam, the achievement comes in the form of that shining moment of national pride for India’s burgeoning electric vehicle industry.

A New Benchmark in Indian Innovation

Ambition personified, Ultraviolette plans to capitalize further from the success of F99. The company now envisions building a mass-produced version of the F99 into the market by 2026. It can, therefore, be envisioned to carry forward all of that fantastic performance and design innovations well into the prototype version itself.

Additionally, by 2027, Ultraviolette plans to diversify to multiple mid-size segments from motorcycles. The firm aims to penetrate the adventure space. This can be noticed due to the recent display in EICMA 2024 through the introduction of the Concept X ADV

The success of the F99 marks the evidence of India’s growth in electric vehicle technology. The success of the product will inspire other manufacturers to experiment with high-performance electric motorcycles. In addition, the effort of Ultraviolette is in line with global trends toward sustainable mobility and will position India as a significant player in the EV revolution.

Redefining speed and performance, F99 marked the beginning of a new era for Indian motorcycles. Its innovative design and record-breaking performance indicate that there is more potential for Indian engineering, with many breakthroughs waiting to happen in the future.
