 
The NBC sketch show announced that in the coming 50th season, it has hired three Featured players: Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline.
However, Chloe Troast, who joined the cast of “SNL” last year, has confirmed that her run on the show is over, âI will not be backâ.
âThe time has come to say goodbyeâ, posted Troast on her account. “And the unfortunate thing is not that I left ‘SNL’, but that I was not asked back for this season. I only wish it made me return to the great friends I met there. It was just like a second home to me. But it was not in the bets.”
She continued on to appreciate all “those who supported me while I was in that position” stating that “I hope that I was able to bring joy and laughter, pure love, to all. Let’s move on.”

Before its milestone 50th season, Troast became the last known âSNLâ star to leave.2020 and 2022 saw the announcements of Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney, respectively, who had previously decided to leave the show as its first non-binary performers.
Johnson would however later explain on the podcast During a SNL podcast with Dana Carvey and David Spade called âFly on the Wall,â that she was not really into the show because she is more of stand-up than sketch. Other employment offers have been coming in for her ever since her departure was announced.
“Itâs going to be very different, but I am excited,” Johnson said. “I am super excited. Because, I am working on a movie that, Lorne Michaels is also helping me do. I’m putting together my special that Lorne is also helping me do. So showing still, I guess my association with the show is pretty good I can say.
I think we both appreciated that it wasn’t my area.”In one of her Instagram posts in August, Kearney expressed that starring on “SNLâ has always been a dream come true for her. “
