The NBC sketch show announced that in the coming 50th season, it has hired three Featured players: Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim and Jane Wickline.

However, Chloe Troast, who joined the cast of “SNL” last year, has confirmed that her run on the show is over, âI will not be backâ.
âThe time has come to say goodbyeâ, posted Troast on her account. “And the unfortunate thing is not that I left ‘SNL’, but that I was not asked back for this season. I only wish it made me return to the great friends I met there. It was just like a second home to me. But it was not in the bets.”
She continued on to appreciate all “those who supported me while I was in that position” stating that “I hope that I was able to bring joy and laughter, pure love, to all. Let’s move on.”
Exiting SNL after one season, some memorable Tropoast however included playing an orphan who attempted to sing to the moon featuring Timothy Chalamet’s head, âSNL’s road to the White House’ and played Rep. Elise Stefanik in the shadows of congress hearing on antisemitism on campus.
Before its milestone 50th season, Troast became the last known âSNLâ star to leave.2020 and 2022 saw the announcements of Punkie Johnson and Molly Kearney, respectively, who had previously decided to leave the show as its first non-binary performers.
Johnson would however later explain on the podcast During a SNL podcast with Dana Carvey and David Spade called âFly on the Wall,â that she was not really into the show because she is more of stand-up than sketch. Other employment offers have been coming in for her ever since her departure was announced.
“Itâs going to be very different, but I am excited,” Johnson said. “I am super excited. Because, I am working on a movie that, Lorne Michaels is also helping me do. I’m putting together my special that Lorne is also helping me do. So showing still, I guess my association with the show is pretty good I can say.
I think we both appreciated that it wasn’t my area.”In one of her Instagram posts in August, Kearney expressed that starring on “SNLâ has always been a dream come true for her. “
So thankful for this chapter of my life,” Kearney wrote. “A lot of love for all my big-hearted buddies behind the camera who pull all the strings each week. So many bald caps, So many uses for them.” When is the premiere of ‘SNL’ Season 50? SNL will start a new season on September 28, and we plan to celebrate its 50th anniversary on February 16.
For the upcoming 2024 presidential elections, Maya Rudolph is expected to return, portraying Vice President Kamala Harris once again.
Alas for me, I was not invited back to SNL this season,” Troast, 27, wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, September 9. “I wanted to go back and be with all those wonderful friends that I made there, it felt like home, however, it was not meant to be.”
Everyone, especially those who attended my summer tour, dressed up as characters and had a lot of positive reviews. Thank you to the people who supported me. Big thanks, useful,â she further added. âIt is everything for me. I hope I managed to brihttps://viralenews.com/ng joy and happy times and all love.â
âIn gratitude, thank you for supporting me
Kearney, who is a cast member, and Punkie Johnson both quit the show, which implements a change in Roastâs position. At the same time, three actors who for two seasons were featured players in SNL STAR âMarcello Hernandez, Michael Longfellow, and Devon Walker were elevated from SNL STAR to the main cast members. The sketch series has also added three new featured players to season 50, Ashley Padilla, Emil Wakim, and Jane Wickline.
I talked to my team. I was like, âLook, I donât really know if I belong at this job, so maybe I should step away,â Johnson recalled on the âFly on the Wallâ podcast in August. âBut I told them super, super late, like right after I found out I got to go back. And it was like âWell Punkie, you need a plan. You canât just quit your job. Johnson related the thoughts to his colleagues.
