Rather than sleeping in too late or jumping into your chores, start your Sunday with a quiet mindful practice. They can help you feel more grounded and peaceful before the day begins. Wake up early, drink water, do a little stretching or a light workout or yoga. Journal or meditate for a short while. Start a few habits that set down an intentional way to begin you Sunday. Do not check your phone for the first hour or so. Give your mind a break from distractions.
Plan Your Week Ahead
Sunday morning is a great time to think back on the week prior and think forward to the upcoming week. Make a to do list, map out your week or set some goals, whether they are work related, fitness, or personal growth. While we cannot control the events or things that may influence our week ahead, it is helpful to have one controlled aspect–with a clear plan Monday through Friday to lessen overwhelm and consequently diminish stress, increasing time management. You may want to use this time to meal prep, or also declutter as both of these will help your week feel cohesive.
Do Something That Energizes You
Make sure you do at least one personal preference today; whether that is reading a book, going for a walk, listening to a podcast, or making yourself a healthy breakfast. This is more than rest; doing something enjoyable can motivate you and improve your mental state for the rest of the day. Sundays are meant for recharging, rather than just taking a rest. Being intentional about the way you spend your morning can help make the rest of your Sunday beneficial. Click here for the source
