Kawasaki has launched the much-awaited Ninja 1100SX in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹13.49 lakh. The new motorcycle is the successor to the Ninja 1000SX and comes with enhanced performance, updated features, and a new design. The sport-touring motorcycle aims to attract riders seeking a powerful, comfortable, and tech-packed ride.
Design and Styling Updates
The Ninja 1100SX closely mirrors its predecessor, the Ninja 1000SX. It retains its aggressive sport-touring design features, with a sharp full-fairing and the dual LED headlight setting. It does exude a bold, modern image. Kawasaki did this partly because of the popularity it had gained in its earlier version.
It comes in just one standard variant. While offering a sleek Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray and Metallic Diablo Black color scheme. Some understated design improvements include new body graphics and a revised finish that enhance its overall premium look.
Engine and Performance Improvements
This engine makes 135 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 113 Nm of torque at 7,600 rpm. Compared to the outgoing model of the Ninja 1000SX, the new one makes 7 bhp less power but has added 2 Nm of torque for more potent and better-balanced performance.
Kawasaki has updated the 5th and 6th gear ratios to taller for smoother long-distance cruising and better fuel efficiency.
Key Mechanical Upgrades
The hardware setup largely mirrors the Ninja 1000SX, with a few notable improvements. Kawasaki has equipped the Ninja 1100SX with a 10mm larger rear disc brake, offering better stopping power and enhanced safety during aggressive braking.
In addition, the Bridgestone Battlax S23 tyres replace the old tyres of the previous model to provide better grip, stability, and performance on any terrain. Kawasaki also equipped the bike with a handy C-type USB port mounted on the handlebar, which caters to the tech-savvy rider’s needs.
Advanced Electronics Suite The Ninja 1100SX retains all its predecessor’s electronics package. This includes:
- Riding Modes: Adjustable modes to adapt power delivery and traction control settings. –Power Modes: Power modes that allow customizable power output for varied riding conditions. -Traction Control: Advanced Traction control, which adapts to different grip needs for safety reasons. -Cruise Control: Cruise control built into the bike for relaxed highway touring.
This further enhances the sporty nature of the motorcycle and guarantees a smooth shift during spirited riding.
Booking and Availability
Kawasaki Ninja 1100SX bookings are now open across all authorized Kawasaki dealerships in India. Deliveries are to start in January 2025, and for those enthusiasts, it promises to be a great ride into the new year.
