In a normal busy day around the famous Gateway of India approximately near Mumbai , disaster was only averted when a ferry that had many people on board started to sink. The event took place on December 18, 2024, which brought tourists and residents to surprise and turns the sea voyage into a dangerous trip.
The Incident: A Ferry in Peril
The ferry which was alongside main jetty near the gateway of India, a famous tourist place, began to sink suddenly. Information received from the site suggests that the vessel was transporting passengers when it developed some form of trouble. Fury immediately enveloped the passengers of which many were tourists, while the crew and authorities raced round to tend with the situation.
Swift Action by Authorities
The moment the distress signal was sent, local Coast Guard together with other marine rescue crews rushed to the scene. In a few minutes, there was an attempt to organize a rescue operation so that all passengers could be removed safely.Happily though, the rapid action by the authorities and their preparedness for such disasters averted a colossal disaster.

In their operations, the rescue teams had to be very professional so as not to cause any causalities or severe injuries.
